*They will tell you that they are fighting in defense of the family. They will tell you that without their noble, moral cause this country will descend into hedonism, barbarism, chaos.
They will speak of family values whenever they can, as if they define what those are.
Well, I don’t know about you, but I got relatives that don’t share a square inch of sense of what is right and wrong. And I got my own values.
They will tell you that the family is under threat. They will tell you that there is an attack on your family from the gays, the muslims, the feminists, the liberals, Kenyans in the white house!
They claim to be pro-life, unless they need bodies for their wars. They claim to represent the interests of women, to be pregnant with bare feet on the kitchen floor. They claim to be humble, but they are obsessed with your sex-life. Their “values” are a contradiction at every level.
Do not let them use your family as justification for their bigoted crusade.*
